Psychotherapy and Counselling

Central London & Online

Hello

Beginning therapy can feel daunting, so if you’re here reading this then you have already taken a big step. If you are wondering whether therapy is for you, I hope I can help answer your question.

In a world which can be challenging, overwhelming, and ever changeable. Life can be difficult to navigate. It's not surprising that sometimes we don’t feel ok. You might be dealing with a difficult time, such as a bereavement, illness or separation; You might be feeling stressed, anxious, low or simply feel that speaking to someone could help. Maybe you want a space to understand yourself better, why you feel or behave the way that you do and feel more present, creative and connected, in your daily life and relationships.

Whether you’re struggling or wish to pro-actively work on your mental health — I can support you. I believe that therapy can be transformative. It provides insight, growth, connection and change. I offer a confidential, inclusive, non-judgemental, and safe space for exploration and reflection. I also believe that humour, play and creativity have a place in therapy and can play key roles in coping with challenges, coming to terms with bereavement and loss, and in healing.

About me

Before I became a psychotherapist, I worked within the charity sector. Alongside private practice, I work for Sporting Chance and have previously worked for a low-cost therapy service and London Metropolitan university counselling service, where I provided short-term therapy to undergraduate and mature students. I am passionate about music which influenced the research for my MA, exploring how, as an alternative to words, music in psychotherapy can be used to communicate feeling and experience.

Qualifications and Experience

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor and offer one-to-one therapy for adults.

Integrative means that I draw on psychodynamic, relational, body psychotherapy and humanistic theories and ways of working. I don't advocate that one size fits all. I will adapt my approach to align with you and what you wish to explore in therapy.

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Minster Centre and an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy from Middlesex University. I have experience of working with: abuse, anxiety, bereavement, depression, identity, gender, neurodiversity, relationships, sexuality, trauma and issues of diversity and difference.

Therapy is a creative, open and collaborative process, which we will co-create together. It also means that the relationship between us can be an important tool in supporting you to understand other relationships in your life.

I am a sex-positive, GSRD, and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist. I am also committed to ensuring my practice is an inclusive and respectful space for all; regardless of sexuality, gender identity, race, religion, age, body size or ability. Additionally, I am interested in how social and cultural contexts can impact our mental health, and believe that it can be enlightening and helpful to explore this in therapy.

I am UKCP accredited and a registered member of BACP and adhere to the UKCP and BACP ethical framework's.

Quotes

When someone really hears you without passing judgement on you, without trying to take responsibility for you, without trying to mould you, it feels damn good.
